In response to these unprecedented times, the Victorian Government are currently funding a number of training initiatives designed to get you reskilled and back into the workforce.
This means that for a limited time, you may be eligible to save up to thousands of dollars, on accredited courses as well as access flexible, sector-specific and industry-validated rapid training that responds to skills shortages and workforce demands.
These initiatives include Free TAFE, JobTrainer, Skills First Skill Sets, Construction Industry and Infection Control Skill Sets as well as NDIS and others.
Eligible students can access JobTrainer in addition to existing Victorian Government Skills First and Free TAFE subsidies.
With the training being focussed in fields of industry with current skill demands, you’ll have a great opportunity to begin that next chapter in your career.
Until December 2022, you also have the opportunity to study more than one course in a year, either free or low fee. Normally a Skills First student is only entitled to one Free TAFE fee waiver. However, you may be able to enrol even if you have previously used your Free TAFE entitlement in a second Free TAFE course under JobTrainer. You may be able to get an exemption if you don’t meet the upskilling requirement.
